Hello from Azerbaijan! I'm an American with a 1998 Vaz Niva 2131. I am going to replace my turn signal bulbs with LED bulbs. The lower current draw of the LEDs will cause the OEM turn signal relay to either flash too fast or not flash at all. Can someone suggest a suitable replacement electronic relay that will work with my Niva? The OEM flasher has 4-pins. Can I replace it with any 4-pin electronic relay or do i need a specific one?

A suitable replacement for LED: http://www.12v.ru/site.xp/054055055124.html

Otherwise you have to improve OEM flasher: http://speedfreak.ru/threads/sf-…orotov-494-3747-i-495-3747.5314/ . Perhaps, you need install the resistor 1000 Ohm in parallel with the LED bulbs in this case.

Thank you for your help. My relay is a 6422.3747 which is 4 pins. The replacement relay and information for modifying is from a 495.3747 relay which is 3 pins. Can you send me a link to a LED suitable replacement for the 6422.3747 or instructions for how to modify the current relay? I prefer not to add a resistor because part of the reason for LED bulbs is to have a reduced load.
Here is a picture of the relay. Can someone show me which track to erase so that the relay will not think there is a bulb burnt out?

494.3747 is replacement for the 6422.3747.
The improvement of 494.3747 is the same as 495.3747 : disconnect pin №7(lamp failure detection) of the chip.

You should erase track to pin#7 of the chip.

After that it is necessary to test relay with conventional lamps. It must function properly without one or two bulbs because lamp failure detection is off. Then the experience with LED bulbs may be done. The LED bulbs may be “invisible” for such relay. Therefore parallel resistor is necessary in this case. 1000 Ohm will create the load only 0.25W.
